For Assignment 3 my Management Report will be based on Case Study 1:

A medium sized organisation – 500 staff – with offices located in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. The organisation is part of multi-national manufacturer of medical equipment.

In Australia, the main function is sales and support of the equipment, except for an elite team of research scientists based in Sydney.

Currently, product update sessions are conducted monthly in Sydney and all sales and support staff attend. The L & D manager is dissatisfied with this – not just from a cost reduction perspective (travel costs) - but also from a timing perspective. She had in mind something more regular than 1 day per month -perhaps weekly sessions for product updates and perhaps some mini sales training sessions.
